The phone call I almost didn’t take<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pauline called me several times. I did not pick up. The number was unfamiliar, I was busy, I had the standard suspicion most of us carry toward unsolicited calls about educational opportunities. She called again. And again. Eventually, I answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
